This degree aims to train professionals in the field of applied and computational mathematics and data analysis, with an eminently practical nature.
I acquired the Extraordinary Baccalaureate Awards scholarship, which allowed me to enroll for the first year for free and will allow me, in addition to other advantages, to work for a week in the summer at a leading research centre.
Research stay at the IAC (Canary Islands) through the Cellex scholarship.
LOMCE Baccalaureate + International Baccalaureate (simultaneous): Cims + CELLEX Scholarship
For a few days I had the opportunity to work side by side with astrophysicists, physicists and data engineers at the IAC, in the Canary Islands. There I was able to do research related to Machine Learning and Neural Networks; which I studied later in the second year of high school, expanding my previous project.
Thanks to the Cims + Cellex aptitude scholarship, I was able to take this program in Girona, specializing in Mathematics, Physics and Catalan Literature. I wrote several research papers, one per subject. Among others, I studied probability distributions such as the Gamma distribution; I investigated the Magnus Effect and generated a system of differential equations to model the trajectory of a projectile; and I observed the affinity of porphyrin and carbon monoxide in relation to oxygen.
